my head is bowed in prayer and contemplation;
my mind's pupil is dilated in the dark.
this shell my soul's released to disembark
and so shed all fetters of designation.

this sojourn holds no fear or isolation;
of this sea of light my soul is, too, a spark.

i recall i'm but one manifestation
of the source of all 'tween cosmoses and quarks.
this unity i must use as a landmark
when life immerses me in consternation....
